Does anyone else in your household, business, or whatever have any access to your computer? We've has kids do stuff like this on a lark, and co-workers do it for various reasons! |

Scott7.62 The only "hack" we've ever seen on an account is when a user used his nickname as his password. or decided "password" was a good password to use. Most always these type situations turn out to be well meaning or malicious "kids" or coworkers with access to your machine which is logged into your account while you leave to get a coffe and/or some sort of "autologon" software or a "password on a postit" neatly attached to the monitor. As I mentioned in my email to you, please change your password (if you haven't already done so) and log off when you leave your PC. |

| (no avatar) | Same thing just happened to me on auction # 10506888 and I sent the note to the seller as soon as I saw it but they have not replied and neither has AA who I sent my message to the seller( plus I emailed AA again this morning early), but considering he has hardly any bids for most of his items he left me hanging out to dry. no reponse after acouple of days to this message I sent to them ( plus I changed my passwors on ALL my online accounts ASAP ) " Q: Help !!! I look on my computer to check on bids and I have your firearm listed as my bid for 1 penny below the "buy it now price " ? I did not bid on this gun ! I just had stopped bidding on another auction # 10529494 because it was more than I wanted to pay for that model ( and it is a stainless 98% version )which is the same gun basically. I have just gone in and changed my password in case I have been hacked. My wife was OOT and nobody else was here so how did I bid ( a silly bid at that-& no I don't even drink so I was not drunk and forgot) on this gun ? Bottom line somehow someway this happened on my end ( hacked password ? ) & I know you could tell me " buffalo bagels" you can not retract a bid & you must pay- & I will. But I am willing to buy a different gun from you, ammo, holsters what ever to equal the purchase price I would pay for this gun , maybe even more. I have never backed out on any bid so as before, I will not blame you nor give bad feedback even if you tell me "tough you bought it" ( why should you believe me, you do not know me ). This has never happed to me and I have been on Gunbroker and AA for a decade-which means right after I hit send on this I am going to change my passwords on all my internet accounts including gunbroker , or call in the Ghost Hunters to see why a ghost is using my computer :( . Thank you for your time and I will do whatever you say. Thank You. Jimmy Daniel |
