Thread Title: "Question as to selling collector single cartridges in California"
(no avatar)

I have watched this thread but really no one seems to know if a seller can sell single collector cartridges in California after Feb. 1, 2111. If the seller is in California selling collector cartridges, can he sell to other states after Feb.1, 2111?

The question comes up what if I am in California and am selling strictly single or multiple collector cartridges can I sell them from California everywhere but to CA. residents?

The way I have read the yet to be enacted law is their is no more Internet sales or mail order sales Into CA or with-in CA, Weather you live in CA or not, Collector ammo or not.   I see nothing in this law about a CA resident selling ANY kind of ammo to someone outside of CA.

What their trying to accomplish with this law is to keep ALL ammo sales to a face to face transaction in the state of CA. The shops will be ordered to keep a thumb print and copy of ID on file for every ammo sale.  Right now in the City of Sacramento you need to provide a thumb print and they make a copy of your valid ID for handgun ammo or any ammo that can be fired from a handgun.  After the new law starts everyone in any city or county of CA will need too for ALL ammo.

The purpose of this law is to create a back door registry for gun owners. They will have your I.D., thumb print, and the type of gun you are buying ammo for.-Capt"Jim"

Capt, I don't know about all that?  CA can't keep the illegals from getting drivers licenses, CA can't keep up the road ways, CA can't find the money to pay their employees that they have and after looking at huge cuts to state employees and piece officers, Who's keeping the paper or the "back door gun Reg"? Hell....  I live in the Capital and they can't afford to keep the grounds keepers mowing the lawn in Capital park!

I agree you have a good theory but in reality CA doesn't have the money or brains to do what your suggesting.  Bottom line here is these people are so stupid they wrote and passed a law that they (CADOJ) don't know how to enforce and their official position on how they plan on enforcing it is " We'll see when we get their ", And you think these people would know how to begin a back door registry? LOL, come on?

Don't sell the liberals short, OMJ. I understand what you are saying, but when it comes to meeting their long time goals, they usually find a way, unless we stop them. I love rural California, and the people of same, but the city people in Los Angeles, Sanfrancisco, and Sacrimento are running the state to suit themselves.-Capt"Jim"FrownCry
