Thread Title: "Total number of purchases and sales"
(no avatar) I have been away from the Forum for a while so bear with me if I bring up the subject of feedback and an item already discussed. So, here goes. Could AA list the total number of sales and/or purchases for each member in their feedback summary. I probably have about 100+ purchases on this site, but I only have 72 feedbacks (71 positives and 1 neutral). The lack of feedback has been discussed and I don't want to go there, but I think just letting sellers know that I have had "X" number of purchases might help a little to counteract the missing feedback ratings.

(no avatar) Odoter here's my unsolicited opinion on this. You already have a real good rating. If there was a 1 in front of your feedback to add 100 more positives it wouldn't make any difference to me. If I had 1,000 more positive feedbacks would it make a difference on mine? I doubt it. In a way its now just keeping score and as long as the negs stay away from both of us the score no longer matters. IMHO.

(no avatar) Sportsmanssupply: You are probably correct in your thinking, but I think everyone would like to build up as much positive as possible. Let's look at your rating against mine. If I were to get a negative, regardless whether it was deserved or not, it would not look as good for me as a single negative would with your rating. It becomes a matter of percentages. I guess I look at it this way. If I got a negative after 120 purchases, it would look a little better than a negative after 72 purchases. Do you see what I am trying to say? I can never totally guarantee that someone won't give me a negative someday, no matter how innocent I may be. With that said, I do want to be able to show everyone, in every possible way, that I am a good reliable buyer. Next to good feedback ratings, numbers can help to do that. At least I think they could, but maybe I am wrong.

(no avatar) Odoter your thinking isn't off. I would like to state that I doubt there is a negative in your future. Buyers must pay on time to keep in good graces. Sellers have more worries.(IMHO) It was my pleasure to exchange views with you. God Bless. Grant

(no avatar) Yea; I wish everyone looked at things the way you two do.

It would be a BETTER world. That is for sure.

axolotl Odoter; You have hit upon an very good idea. If AA could provide a transaction total for each member along with thier feedback it would provide information that cannot be forced from those who are unwilling to post feedback. It would reflect on the amount of transactions a member had in comparison to the amount of feedback given and recieved Thus allowing those who don`t give feedback some exposure as to how they treat others by comparison to how they are treated. Useful info to determine who you wish to deal with. axolotl

(no avatar) I agree, as I do 97.3% of the time, with Ax. I get hosed on feedbacks not being left

gov2mod I disagree. I think it could also look bad for the seller. For example, I usually leave feedback 100% of the time. If, with your proposed system, it would show I left 100% for my buyers but only received 70% back from my buyers it would look like I must be doing something wrong with my auctions to not receive all the deserved feedback when in fact it's only thru laziness or negligence on the part of the buyer. I send follow up emails to virtually all of my buyers that don't leave feedback asking if they received the item, if they are satisfied, that I left them positive feedback, and would they please leave feedback for me. Almost all of them reply that they very pleased with the item, with shipping, etc. but some just never get around to leaving the feedback no matter what you do. This feedback subject has been covered many, many times on these forums and there isn't any real solution.

axolotl Gov2mod; i would read that as you gave 100% of the time, and as you cannot be responsible for others, you would move to the top of people i would deal with. axolotl
