5thcommjarhead RobW - Some time back a friend of mine and I went to one of my favorite watering holes in Baltimore after a St. Andrew's Society Burns Nicht formal dinner. It was the night of the first GWB inauguration and the place was full of tree huggers who had been protesting at the inauguration. I just couldn't resist giving them the needle.

"Animal lover? Sure, I am. I belong to PETA - People Eating Tasty Animals."

"Hey, I'm an environmentalist. I think we should save the whales. I intend to collect the whole set!"

"Harpooning a whale is cruel. The only proper way to kill a whale is to beat it to death with a baby Harp seal."

The bar owners stayed my friends even if they did ask me to leave that one time.

(no avatar) Its fun to tweak them, isn't it? I was at a Home Show in Hanover, NH a few years ago. The local Humane Society had a booth set up with a few animals they had up for 'adoption'. One of them was a pot-bellied pig. I told them what a great idea they had, edible pets, when you're tired of it have a cook-out in its honor and get a new one. I wasn't thrown out, but they wouldn't talk to me anymore. BTW, I never knew seals were Irish.

(no avatar) Shooter, that's great! Some folks around here use new-born, or 'pinky' mice for bait for walleyes. Imagine trying to get them at a pet store!

(no avatar) Being from Kansas, I get asked a lot about "how's Toto", my normal response is "Not bad with a little BarBQue sauce." :):)

(no avatar) Two Europeans are visiting New York City. They see a vendor selling hot dogs. They didn't know people ate dogs in America but decided to try it. As they opened the little bags and looked inside one of them said, "Ugh, what part of the dog did you get?"
