| (no avatar) | I thought the FEEDBACK REPORT CARD took care of letting folks see how sellers and buyers have done in their transactions. |

Auction Arms already has a seller icon that tells everyone that you are a seller to be trusted if you choose to use it. It called being a penny auctioneer and you get a big round icon by your auctions. |

| (no avatar) | Store Front Dealers, Newbie Buyers and Real Sellers. Are you saying Store Front Dealers are the only ones that have an honest reputation and are better than non store front dealers? NEWBIE BUYERS . I hate that word . Low feedback buyers sounds much better. Afterall; On Auction Arms EVERYONE was new at one time and started with 0-0-0 feedback. Without new buyers this site would be in sad shape and so would you Wild West Guns. REAL SELLERS . Now just how many real sellers do we have here on Auction Arms ? I don't sell a lot , but what I have sold , was for real , and every one of my buyers have been pleased. My feedback shows that . All a person has to do is read the Feedback Report Card that Manny gave us and they can tell what kind of seller they are dealing with. The FEEDBACK REPORT CARD reflects EVERYONE!!! |

| (no avatar) | I'm thinking that anybody that sells something is a REAL seller. There are different types of sellers. Those that do it all the time for their living, those that do it as a hobby, and so forth. If you want it like eBay, the storefront seller is no different from the guy selling from the basement, anyone can be verified. As an eBay power seller, verified, I compete with rare book dealers who have a storefront in some of the biggest cities of the world, catering to clients who spend a lot of money for rare books. The internet makes us all equal. Wild West Guns, it would appear that you feel that a certain few sellers should have a separate class from all others because they have a storefront, which seems to make them/you more important. The reality of it is, on the internet, all sellers are equal except in the types of things they sell, and how they serve the buyer. You really need to divorce yourself from your storefront when you turn on your PC, because on the net, the storefront is meaningless. A seller who sells one widget a year and gives their buyer quality service, is as important/good as the one who makes a living doing it 365 days a year. The satisfied buyer could care less whether the partner in a transaction does it full time, surrounded by bricks and mortar, or in their skivvies surrounded by overflowing ashtrays and half empty coffee cups. Just as an observer of these "conversations" on the forum, it appears that what you really want is everyone but you and a handful of other "un-named" silent sellers to be done away with or relegated to a tiny section tucked away where no one sees them. Nothing wrong with trying to eliminate the competition, just as long as it is done head to head, not by trying to create false barriers to keep them out. The real problem is that your trying to protect your overhead, which others don't have. It sucks, but you have to try harder, sell more, serve better if you want to/or need to maintain a storefront, because in this new revolutionary world of the internet, your storefront doesn't matter except to your local walk-in trade. |
