Thread Title: "Auction Arms Comes of Age"
Elitist Check out Auction #7387443. This sort of rarity showing up on AA is proof that the site is the BEST gun auction site on the Internet. Putting an item in this world-class collector category up for sale here is...well, evidence that Internet gun auctions have "come of age," without doubt.

Let's hear a big hand for AA, folks, this auction is a watershed event in the history of gun sales. Take THAT, Gunbroker!

Elitist Wild West, you aren't keeping up with walker prices. The last one sold at Butterfield's went for $235K. If I could get that gun for $65K I'd take out a mortgage to do it.

(no avatar) Anyone taking any bets that there won't be a single bid. I totally agree with Wild West. This gun looks to be in about 30% condition. Opening bid in my opinion should have been around 40,000.00 for a sale price of at most 75,000.00. You sure can't blame a guy for trying though. Tks

Elitist A Waler is a Walker. There are 168 of them left in existence, out of the original 1000 made. The Walkers and Paterson are pretty much the Holy Grail of Colt collectors. He'll get his price. Maybe not here, but he'll sell it for that, 30% or no. AA's commissions are much lower than the big auction houses' are, so if he does sell it here, he saves a huge amount of money.

axolotl As in all sales it only takes one person who does want it at that price and here is a likely place to find that one person. Best of luck to both seller and buyer and i hope it finds a good home.axolotl
